David Kasbow provides an insider's view of Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church. Anchored in the mainstream of Rev. Moon's well-known movement, Kasbow chronicles the whirlwind of day-to-day activities Rev. Moon initiated out of his deep desire to bring peace to the world.
Kasbow, who joins the Unification Church as a typical college student from Detroit, embarks on a religious odyssey that takes him to Israel, Japan, Korea, Ukraine, Lithuania, Uruguay, and forty-seven of the fifty states in America.
Fun to read, thought provoking, and good-natured, Kasbow offers observers of new religious movements an interpretation of Rev. Moon's theology and dozens of anecdotes that illustrate his conviction that his choice of faith is a wise one.
David Kasbow is the senior pastor of the Metro Detroit Family Church, the worship center of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification in Detroit.
